This easy to moderate 9.5 km hike, starts at the parking lot and follows along Cape Pond, crosses a brook to Cape Island beach, and completes a circle. You’ll find boardwalks, gravel, beach sand and three lookouts along the way.

There are two old graveyards from the now abandoned settlement of Cape Island which is an archaeological site. There’s lots of bird watching opportunities, whales, icebergs, fishing boats, and even seals at certain times of the year.
